Kenmore Village Physio (KVP) has been proudly serving Brisbane’s inner western suburbs for over 17 years, helping more than 15,000 satisfied clients achieve their health and movement goals.

We’ve built a strong reputation as a trusted local physiotherapy clinic by putting our clients first and delivering effective, results-driven treatment in a clean, comfortable, and fully private environment — with every consultation conducted in its own private room.

Our physiotherapy services are designed to keep your body moving at its best, whether you’re recovering from injury, managing pain, or striving to maintain optimal physical health.

Our highly skilled physiotherapists at Kenmore Village Physio have extensive experience in treating a wide range of conditions. Physiotherapy can be highly effective for managing musculoskeletal issues such as sporting and workplace injuries, sprains and strains, back and neck pain, arthritis, tendon injuries, frozen shoulder, and sciatica.

We also provide care for pelvic floor conditions, paediatric presentations, and support for certain cardiovascular conditions.

In addition, physiotherapy plays a vital role in both pre- and post-surgical rehabilitation. We work closely with your surgeon and healthcare team to strengthen affected areas, restore mobility, and help you return to optimal function as quickly and safely as possible.

Yes — all KVP services are claimable with private health insurance, provided you have the appropriate level of cover. We offer on-the-spot rebates through HICAPS for most major health funds when you bring your card to your appointment. We recommend contacting your insurer to confirm your specific level of cover.

No — you can access all of our services without private health insurance. Our administration team can provide full pricing details when you book your appointment with us.

No — our health professionals are first-contact practitioners, so you do not need a doctor’s referral to book an appointment.

However, a referral is required in some cases, including Medicare Chronic Disease Management plans, Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA), Workers’ Compensation, and CTP insurance claims. Our administration team can assist you and advise exactly what referral is needed for your situation.

Yes. If you have a GP Management Plan (GPMP) from your GP, you can receive a Medicare rebate for up to five appointments per calendar year. These sessions are not bulk billed but we do provide a subsidised rate capped at $108. The appointment requires a $44 gap fee to be paid in full at the time of your session.

Your 45/60 minute initial consultation is the crucial first step in helping you achieve your health, fitness and wellbeing goals. During this session, we complete three key steps to ensure you receive the best possible care:

1. Thorough discussion (subjective assessment)
We take the time to understand your current condition, medical history, and any contributing factors. We also clarify your goals and the activities you want to return to.

2. Comprehensive physical assessment (objective examination)
You’ll be guided through a series of movements and specific orthopaedic tests to assess your condition and identify any underlying factors contributing to your symptoms.

3. Clear diagnosis, treatment plan, and treatment
We provide a clear diagnosis and outline a personalised treatment plan, including what we will do to help you, what you need to do, and an expected timeframe to achieve your goals. Importantly, we prioritise hands-on, targeted treatment within this session to begin addressing your condition immediately and help accelerate your recovery.

Yes — at KVP, we treat and help prevent injuries in children and adolescents. We provide a clear, easy-to-understand diagnosis, along with an individualised treatment plan and targeted exercises to achieve the best possible outcomes for your child.

Yes, we accept both DVA White and Gold Cards. All DVA card holders must have a GP Referral (D904 Form). White Card holders can receive treatment for specific accepted service-related injuries or conditions. Gold Card holders can receive treatment for all medical conditions.
